Itinerary

  1. The drive from Bergen offers stunning landscapes, with views of the beautiful Osterfjord and fascinating stories from your guide along the way.
  2. After about an hour, we make a short stop — a chance to stretch your legs and use the restroom. When opening hours allow, the break is arranged at Dale Outlet, a welcoming shop located beside the historic textile factory that has made the village renowned for its quality knitwear. It offers a variety of great goods from different suppliers at reduced prices. (30 min) Admission included
  3. About thirty minutes later, we pass through Voss — a charming town in the heart of Western Norway — before the scenery becomes even more dramatic as we approach majestic mountains, spectacular waterfalls, and one of Norway’s most beautiful fjords.
  4. Tvindefossen is an impressive waterfall, standing 116 meters tall, known for its beautiful shape and the many streams of water cascading down the cliff. The waterfall has also gained a reputation for having “magical” properties – its waters are said to have a rejuvenating effect. This has made Tvindefossen one of Norway’s most visited natural attractions, drawing thousands of visitors each year. (20 min)
  5. Gudvangen is a beautiful and authentic village, nestled deep within the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord — a place that feels truly Norwegian. Surrounded by towering mountains and cascading waterfalls, the village offers a calm and charming atmosphere. Gudvangen is also home to the famous Viking Village, which adds to its unique character and historical charm. (40 min)
  6. In Gudvangen, we board the boat that takes us onto the Nærøyfjord – one of Norway’s most beautiful and dramatic fjords. With steep mountain walls, narrow passages, and impressive landscapes, the fjord offers a quiet and unforgettable way to experience Norway’s nature. The Nærøyfjord is a branch of the Sognefjord and stretches for about 17 kilometres, with mountains rising up to 1,800 metres above sea level. As part of the UNESCO World Heritage list, this area stands as a remarkable example of Norway’s natural beauty. Sit back, relax, and take in the unspoiled nature around you! (2h 0min) Admission included
  7. Flåm is a small, scenic village located at the heart of the Aurlandsfjord, a branch of the majestic Sognefjord. Surrounded by steep mountains and waterfalls, it offers a peaceful atmosphere and some of the most beautiful scenery in the region. The village is home to the famous Flåm Railway, which winds its way from the fjord up to the mountain station at Myrdal – a remarkable train journey often described as one of the most beautiful in the world. In Flåm, you’ll have some free time to explore what interests you most – perhaps a visit to the charming Flåm Church or the Railway Museum, or simply a coffee and a sweet treat at a local bakery. (30 min)
  8. The Flåm Railway is one of the most spectacular train journeys in the world. The 20-kilometer route between Flåm and Myrdal takes you from fjord to mountains through steep valleys, 20 tunnels, and past impressive waterfalls. With an elevation gain of 865 meters, it is both an engineering marvel and a nature experience you won’t soon forget. Enjoy the views from comfortable carriages as you travel through some of Norway’s most stunning landscapes. (1h 0min) Admission included
  9. After arriving in Myrdal, we continue our journey on the comfortable train back to Bergen (R40). This stretch of the Bergen Line takes you through ever-changing landscapes — from high mountain terrain to lush valleys, rivers, and traditional Norwegian villages. Relax in your seat and enjoy wide panoramic views as the train winds its way toward the west coast. The journey offers a peaceful and scenic transition from the dramatic mountains to the coastal city of Bergen, giving you time to reflect on the day’s unforgettable experiences.
