3 Hours of Guided La Paz Street Food Tour

In this Street Food Tour, you will taste carefully selected traditional dishes from unique Baja-style tacos, empanadas, and burritos to fresh seafood like famous "chocolata clams" or ceviche. We will walk through the beautiful downtown historic district visiting traditional food stands and landmarks like Malecón, Catedral, Mercado Madero, a traditional ranch store, and a unique butcher shop that produces "Machaca", a regional delicacy. While we stroll the city you will learn about the fascinating history of La Paz and the origins of California. This walking tour includes all the food, dessert, and one complementary drink. This tour is suited for all ages and could be adapted for vegetarians. We recommend that you bring a hat, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes. Since the food is abundant come hungry and expect to cover both breakfast and lunch.

Itinerary

1. While we observe the facade and surroundings of this landmark building, we will provide an historical context for the rest of the tour. (15 min)
2. You will see a permanent art installation behind the museum and be informed about the current exhibition (15 min)
3. You will taste a traditional baja style fish taco (45 min) Admission included
4. Mercado Madero is a traditional Mexican downtown market. Our guide will show you the fish market, and you will have the chance to buy local candy, crafts and more. (20 min)
5. You will learn the cultural relevance of this beautiful plaza and its kiosk (10 min)
6. You will taste empanadas and burritos (45 min) Admission included
7. Our guide will give you a sample to taste of fresh "machaca" and show you a traditional ranch style butcher shop. (20 min)
8. We will visit a gourmet bakery and taste delicious pastry (20 min) Admission included
