Itinerary

  1. We make a short stop at Los Limones cemetery, in here, your tour guide will explain you one of the biggest traditions that we have in Mexico "Dia de Muertos" or "Day of the Death". A tradition where we honor our relatives that are no longer with us. (15 min)
  2. On this stop, you will learn about the local tradition of breading different types of roosters. (15 min)
  3. At La Noria, we visit one of the biggest and most important saddlers in town, the Salas family factory, where they make sandals, belts, leather masks and elaborated saddles. At the same factory, we will have the oportunity to enjoy how Alberto, a local artisan, turns a piece of clay, into an spectacular piece of art. After having a few minutes to walk around this historical town, we will visit Saint Anthony of Padua Church, where your tour guide will talk to you about the history of both. (1h 0min)
  4. We will drive by a Blue Agave plantation before we get to the tequila Factory, in here, your tour guide will explain the process: fermentation, distillation, aging barrels and everything about this ancient beverage to finish enjoying samples from the different types of Agave Distilled that Los Osuna factory makes. (50 min) Admission included
  5. At the Ulama game monument, you will learn about this ancient game played by the Mayans and Aztecs before the Spanish came to Mexico. Your Tour Guide will explain the differences between the Aztec and Mayan game, and why was it for. (10 min)
  6. At the the Brick oven bakery, you will have the opportunity of picking bread from a huge variety that are baked at every days early mornings. Cinnamon rolls, turn overs, vanilla cookies and lots of other options. (15 min)
  7. At the local church: "Virgen de Guadalupe", your Tour Guide will tell you the story of the Virgin, and you will then know why She is the most important for the Mexicans. (15 min)
  8. One of the biggest attractions in town is the the restaurant "El Meson de los Laureanos" in here, you will have a set up to make your own salsa and tortillas with all local ingredients, you will then take them to your table to enjoy them with authentic Mexican food cooked by local women who have had their recipes for decades and share them with us at this colorful hacienda where the owner of the restaurant was born.
