Come with us on a captivating walking tour of Ålesund, renowned worldwide for its stunning Art Nouveau architecture. This charming Norwegian coastal city, with its spires, towers, and intricate ornamentation, owes its distinctive appearance to a devastating fire in 1904 that razed much of the town. When rebuilt, it embraced the fashionable Art Nouveau style blended with the maritime nature of the town, leaving a lasting architectural legacy.
Your guide will lead you on a delightful stroll through the heart of the city, starting at the cruise pier. As you explore, you'll pass notable landmarks and the city's unique shopping and pedestrian street. You will also encounter the best maritime views on the way to the Molja lighthouse, where the nearby historical Giske islands can be seen.
This tour offers the perfect blend of Ålesund’s rich history and street life, allowing you to experience the hidden charms of this famous town.
