Itinerary

  1. Our famous district "Sea Venice" (10 min)
  2. Admire the stunning city landscape and listen to miracle stories about the Viking`s ages. (20 min)
  3. Waldehuset was the only house in the eastern district which was not burned down during the great fire of January 23rd 1904. Come and hear the incredible story of the miracle house.
  4. We will visit one of Norway's most remarkable churches on the island Giske. The saga island holds the famous Giske Church, built in the 12th century. Today the church is Norway's only marble church and is still in full use. The church was built as a private chapel for the mighty noble family Giske. A guide will tell you the story of how members of the Giske family were to play parts in important events in Norwegian history. (20 min)
  5. We will see Isolated village, unique tunnel, old lighthouse, amazing Atlantic ocean shore (15 min) Admission included
  6. We will see small houses that provided shelter to the family in feasts and everyday life, cow sheds, houses for food storage, old schools, dated from the Middle Ages to the early 20th century. They are visible reminders of the daily work on farms and at sea – everything from mountain huts and barns to boathouses and fishermen’s shacks. (1h 0min)
  7. Atlanterhavsparken was elected as the Best Aquarium in the Nordic countries. Here you will find large cold-water fish, funny penguins, crazy oters. Guests can feed animals and play with them. (1h 0min)
