Itinerary

  1. Take the Sealink ferry from Kettering across to Bruny Island. This is a short 10-15 minute ferry ride across the stunning D'Entrecasteaux Channel. (10 min) Admission included
  2. Climb the 279 stairs to the Truganini Lookout at The Neck for one of the best views on Bruny Island. Please note: there is a lookout after 53 stairs or a flat boardwalk walk out to the beach for those guests who do not wish to walk up all the stairs. (30 min)
  3. Stop by Australia's only Oyster Drive-Thru at Get Shucked Oysters. We will stop here briefly in the morning to collect our oysters for morning tea. Please let your tour guide know if you wish to stop in the afternoon to make purchases. We have an ice cooler on board for any oyster or cheese purchases. (15 min)
  4. Two Tree Point is our Morning Tea stop for the day. Enjoy Bruny Island oysters from Get Shucked, Bruny Island Cheeses and freshly baked bread on the beach to start the day. Take a short walk along the beach as your guide prepares your tasty morning tea, or for those brave enough, dip or toe or two! (45 min)
  5. After morning tea your tour guide will drive through the township of Adventure Bay in search of a Bennet's White Wallaby. Please note, seeing the white wallaby is not guaranteed as they are wildlife however, our guides will try their best to find one! (15 min)
  6. South Bruny National Park is one of 19 National Parks in Tasmania. Here we will take time to explore the Cape Bruny Lighthouse Museum and Cape Bruny Lighthouse. Keep your eyes open for our native wildlife with Fairy Wrens, cockatoos, echidnas and wallabies often making an appearance! (30 min) Admission included
  7. Join a guided tour of Cape Bruny Lighthouse, only available with Bruny Island Safaris. Cape Bruny Lighthouse is the only Lighthouse open for tours in Southern Tasmania. Learn about the maritime history of Bruny Island from one of our local Bruny Island Lighthouse guides and take in the incredible views from the Lighthouse balcony. (30 min) Admission included
  8. Lunch today is at Hotel Bruny with a menu featuring Tasmanian and Bruny Island produce. Dietary requirements/food allergies can be catered for, please ensure you add these in the notes at the time of booking. (1h 0min)
  9. At Bruny Island Chocolate Co we have their private balcony all to ourselves for tastings of their chocolate and handmade fudge prepared by your tour guide. There will be time to make purchases before we depart. (30 min)
  10. Stop by Bruny Island Honey for honey tastings, including Leatherwood honey, only made in Tasmania. Bruny Island Honey have a range of honey and skin care products available to try including their famous Hot Honey Mustard. (30 min)
  11. Please let your guide know if you wish to stop by Bruny Island Cheese Co in the afternoon. An ice cooler is available on board the bus for any guest purchases made. (15 min)
