Itinerary
- Your memorable journey will start with a meeting at the cruise terminal, where you will be greeted by our local Le Havre representatives and our experienced English-speaking guide. Fresh croissants from a local Le Havre bakery will be waiting for you.
- After driving for 2 hours through the Normandy countryside, your first stop will be at Pointe du Hoc, where you can see the numerous bomb craters that have remained untouched since the war. Climb through the various bunkers to witness how the Germans used the cliffs to their advantage, and imagine how the Americans attacked and captured the battery after scaling the cliffs. (2h 0min)
- Afterward, head to Omaha Beach and pass along 8 km of coastline facing the English Channel. Ashore, you will find a sculpture called Les Braves, meaning "The Braves" in honor of the soldiers who fought in the war. There will be an opportunity to stop for a quick lunch near Omaha Beach. (2h 0min)
- Next, continue the tour to the Normandy American Cemetery to pay tribute to the fighters of the battle. The visitor center offers a detailed exhibition about the war. This will be our last stop before heading back for a 2-hour drive to the port or your hotel. (2h 0min)
