Itinerary
- The California Lighthouse, commonly referred to by locals as Faro, rises prominently on a limestone plateau at Hudishibana, near Arashi Beach and the Sasariwichi dunes on Aruba’s northwestern coast. It is recognized as the tallest structure on the island. The lighthouse takes its name from the British steamship S.S. California, which sank in 1891—more than two decades before the lighthouse was constructed between 1914 and 1916. Its construction served as a safeguard to prevent similar maritime accidents. In May 2016, the lighthouse was fully restored in honor of its 100th anniversary. (15 min)
- Alto Vista Chapel is a small Catholic chapel that stands on the hills above the north shore of Aruba. The present chapel was completed in 1952 and is located on the exact same location as the original chapel, which was built by the Venezuelan missionary in 1750. (10 min)
- During this tour, we will drive through colorful capital Oranjestad. You will be able to enjoy the views, and pass by some authentic Aruban houses.
- Enormous tonalite rock cluster offering surrounding trails, steps leading to the top & scenic views. (15 min)
- During this tour you will visit the oldest Aloe Factory globally, where you will learn about the countless benefits of the local plant. (30 min) Admission included
- The Bushiribana Gold Mine Ruins are the remnants of a 19th-century gold smelting facility located on the northern coast of Aruba. Built in 1872 by the Aruba Island Gold Mining Company, the stone structure was used to process gold ore extracted from the island. The site offers a glimpse into Aruba's history of gold mining, which significantly influenced the island's economy during that era. (15 min)
- The California Lighthouse is a lighthouse located at Hudishibana near Arashi Beach on the northwest tip of Aruba. This lighthouse was named for the steamship California, which was wrecked nearby on September 23, 1891. (15 min)
