Itinerary

  1. Dolmabahçe Palace was built by the thirty-first Ottoman sultan, Sultan Abdülmecid. Dolmabahçe Palace, designed with a Western understanding in accordance with the modernization goal of the Ottoman Empire, was opened for use on June 7, 1856. The construction of this magnificent palace, whose construction started on June 13, 1843, took 13 years.
  2. Büyük Mecidiye Mosque or Ortaköy Mosque is a Neobaroque style mosque located on the coast in the Ortaköy district of Beşiktaş district, on the Bosphorus in Istanbul. The mosque was built by Sultan Abdülmecid in 1853 by architect Nigoğos Balyan of Armenian origin.
  3. ​ The Bosphorus Bridge, which connected the Asian and European continents by road for the first time, was completed in a short time of 39 months. One leg of the bridge is in Beylerbeyi and the other leg is in Ortaköy.
  4. This 600 year old fortress, built by Fatih Sultan Mehmet, is a strategic structure, as it controls all points of entry into the Bosphorus.
  5. Üsküdar Beylerbeyi Palace was planned as a summer resort for the Ottoman sultans and a state guest house where foreign heads of state or rulers would be hosted, and it was built upon the request of the sultan of the time, Sultan Abdülaziz (1861-1876).
