Cape Point Entry is payable on the day (South African's with photo ID or SADC members with passports can claim a discounted entry price) Lunch can be enjoyed along the way (at your own expense). You can also choose to join the optional, guided hike from Cape Point to the Cape of Good Hope (approx 40 minutes, requires medium fitness & good walking shoes). After a day spent exploring, sit back in your seat and enjoy the coastal drive back to Cape Town via Scarborough and Kommetjie, with spectacular views from the Ou Kaapse Weg mountain pass. Itinerary

  1. Muizenberg Beach is also known as "The Surfer's Corner". Brightly coloured changing huts on the beach makes for a great photo.
  2. Kommetjie is home to the country's tallest cast-iron lighthouse, Slangkoppunt Lighthouse, built in 1919 and offers incredible views over the Atlantic
  3. See some of these incredible birds
  4. Cape Point Nature Reserve is home to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, both of which we visit on this tour and a plethora of wildlife. This includes ostrich, zebra, the Eland antelope and many more. We will stop for every sighting (2h 0min)
  5. Walk or take a funicular (at own cost) up to South Africa's 3rd oldest lighthouse for a 360 degree view of the National Park. The old lighthouse was commissioned in 1860 only to be decommissioned 40 years and dozens of shipwrecks later. (1h 30min)
  6. Enjoy a hike from Cape Point to the Cape of Good Hope or take the bus to visit this mystical place (30 min)
  7. Home to the South African Navy, this Victorian village is steeped in nautical history
  8. Visit the Boulders Beach Penguin Reserve to learn more about the African penguin, also known as the jackass penguin (1h 0min)
  9. Travel over the steep "Ou Kaapse Weg" mountain pass through the Silvermine reserve with its spectacular views over the Cape Peninsula
