Itinerary

  1. The Rif Fort is a 19th-century defence monument which was built to protect the island from the invasion of pirates and enemies. Its key location was centered in the heart of Curaçao. It lies at the entrance of the Sint Anna Bay in the western Otrobanda neighbourhood
  2. Otrobanda is one of the historic quarters of Willemstad, located at the southwest side of the city, in Curaçao. Otrobanda was founded in 1707, and has been designated a Unesco World Heritage Site.
  3. The Queen Emma Bridge is a pontoon bridge across St. Anna Bay in Curaçao. It connects the Punda and Otrobanda quarters of the capital city, Willemstad.
  4. Otrobanda’s residents make the neighborhood special by encouraging artists, opening their exterior walls and hosting regular street parties with music and art. They threw these parties called Kayakaya every few months.
  5. Reaching a height of 56.4 metres (185 feet) above the water at its apex (to accommodate ships entering the narrow harbour), it weighs 3,400 tons. The view from the apex includes the entire panorama of Punda, Otrobanda, and the Schottegat and is one of the highest vantage points on the island.
  6. Scharloo (Papiamentu: Skálo) is a neighbourhood and former suburb of Willemstad, Curaçao. Scharloo started as a plantation, but became a wealthy neighbourhood of Willemstad. Scharloo has been designated a Unesco World Heritage Site.
  7. Home of the Genuine Curacao Liqueur. A visit to the Curacao Liqueur Distillery at Landhuis Chobolobo is a journey through the history of Curacao. You can experience and learn more about the distillation process of the world-famous Blue Curacao Liqueur and enjoy the taste such as it has been produced since 1896. (45 min)
  8. Continuing our journey, we head towards the picturesque Jan Thiel district, where you'll marvel at the stunning vistas of Caracas Bay and the Spanish Waters Lagoon. Make a stop at Curacao's Handcraft Market, Caribbean Handcraft, to peruse local souvenirs and enjoy the scenic views from their porch. (20 min)
