1. Starrigavan Recreation Area, just north of Sitka, Alaska, is a nature lover's paradise. Here you'll find a beautiful estuary teeming with birdlife, perfect for observing on the quarter-mile boardwalk trail. We can hop on the Forest to Muskeg trail for a short hike through spruce-hemlock forest and muskeg on various trails, keeping an eye out for resident brown bears, eagles, and deer.
