- The King's Garden is an urban park in the city centre. It hosts open-air concerts, events in summer and offering an ice rink in winter. The park is divided in two spaces: -the Square of King Charles XII , - Molin's Fountain, In 17th and 18th century the garden was a symmetrical composition centred on a fountain . - Founded in 1300, Gamla Stan ( Old Town) is the historical centre of Stockholm is located on the island of Stadsholmen. Gamla Stan is made up of cobbled streets, North-Germanic architecture and picturesque open piazza. The most famous and beautiful is Stortorget ( the large square), And area surrounded by merchants' houses . Later, the site of Stockholm Bloodbath ordered by Danish King Christian II and 82 noblemen, was executed in 1520. It's home to the Royal Palace, the 18th century building in Baroque style.
