Gdansk Guided City Cruise on Historical Polish Boat
Discover Gdańsk from a water perspective on board a replica of a Polish river boat used for over 400 years. An intimate, wooden and spacious 12-seater boat will take you to places unavailable to large ships, and thanks to the low number of passengers you'll feel at ease and special. You will start the cruise from the former areas of the Gdańsk Shipyard, which once was a workplace for nearly 18,000 people and unavailable to visitors for over 170 years. Next, you'll go on a cruise on Motława - the center of the Old Town. You will see many tourist attractions, including the ruins of the Teutonic castle, water gates leading to the city, the famous wooden crane from the 15th century, charming old tenement houses and their new setting. You will follow a route that will also show you monuments and new buildings of the Ołowianka Island and the Granary Island. This trip is also a unique and only opportunity to see up close specialist vessels, Gdansk cranes.

Itinerary

  1. The cruise starts from the post-shipyard area - from the former Imperial Shipyard, where the production of u-boats took place. And right next to the existing shipbuilding industry - characteristic Gdansk cranes, specialized ships, exclusive yachts and a unique industrial atmosphere.
  2. Cruising along the long Motlawa river Embankment we will see the remains of the wall of the Teutonic Castle with The Swan tower, Water Gates leading to the city, including the famous Crane from 15th century, the most beautiful of the gates - the St. Mary's Gate and the oldest gate - the Green Gate.
  3. Olowianka Island - The functional use of the island has changed over the years. At present, on the island, we will see the Polish Baltic Philharmonic, the Royal Granary, the National Maritime Museum and the of Stonemason's Bridge. Granary Island - The Green Bridge connects the main part of the old town with the Granary Island. It is not difficult to guess what was located on the island given the name(the island had a storehouse where all the goods were kept). Currently, on the Island, we will see, among others remains of old granaries, including the best preserved granary Blue Lamb and their modern incarnation (the reconstruction of the Island after the Second World War). Galley boat tour gives a different perspective on the historical value of the Main City. With us you will see unique places not available for walkers.
