Discover one of the most secluded parts of the Hardangerfjord on a small-group RIB safari from Norheimsund. This guided boat tour takes you into Fyksesund, a narrow and peaceful fjord branch where large tour boats cannot go. Surrounded by steep mountains, waterfalls, and quiet waters, you’ll experience a more intimate side of the fjord landscape.
Along the way, your local captain shares stories about the area’s nature, history, and fjord life. You’ll cruise past dramatic scenery, slow down for photo stops, and visit the roadless hamlet of Botnen – a historic settlement that offers a glimpse into life in this remote part of Hardanger.
Fyksesund changes character throughout the year. In spring and after rainfall, waterfalls stream down the mountainsides. In winter, many freeze into striking ice formations.
This 75-minute RIB tour is ideal for travelers who want to combine scenic beauty, local storytelling, and a thrilling boat ride without the crowds in every season.
