- The visit starts at the Upper Cloister from where you can get spectacular views of all the architectural beauty contained there. We will detail the meanings behind this construction, what it represented for society at the time and its importance in the context of the Great Portuguese Navigations, carried out throughout the 15th and 16th centuries. In the lower section of the Cloister you will have access to important spaces, such as the Chapter Room, the old Refectory and the tomb of Fernando Pessoa, moved to this space in the first half of the 20th century. You will also visit the church from the complex, a majestic building, symbol of the height of Manueline architecture, an architectural style that developed in Portugal at the beginning from the 16th century and which associated late Gothic structures with Renaissance elements (1h 0min) Admission included
