  1. The light house of Mazatlán, located on Cerro del Crestón, is one of the highest natural lighthouses in the world, standing at approximately 157 meters above sea level. It was established in 1879 and has played a key role in maritime navigation along the Mexican Pacific, guiding vessels safely into the port of Mazatlán. Its light has an approximate range of 30 nautical miles (about 55 km), allowing it to be visible from great distances at sea. It now operates with modern electrical systems, although it originally used more basic methods such as oil lamps.
