- Morning: Departure from Ho Chi Minh City & Arrival in My Tho • 07:30 AM - 08:00 AM: Pick-up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and depart for My Tho, a bustling town in the Mekong Delta (approx. 1.5 - 2 hours drive). • Arrive at My Tho and visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, a beautiful Buddhist temple known for its mix of Chinese, Vietnamese, and Khmer architecture. •At the cruise's start, you'll enjoy a 40-minute boat trip along the Tien River. You'll glimpse the four legendary islets—Dragon, Turtle, Unicorn, and Phoenix—each with its own story and charm. Along the way, you'll pass by local shipyards, vibrant fish ports, and floating fish farms, giving you an authentic glimpse into the river-based lifestyle of southern Vietnam. - Midday: Exploring Ben Tre – The Coconut Kingdom • Visit a local coconut processing workshop in Ben Tre, famous for its coconut candies, handicrafts, and other products. • Take a small rowing boat ride through the narrow water canals lined with nipa palm trees – an iconic experience of the Mekong Delta. • Enjoy tropical fruits and listen to traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music (Đờn Ca Tài Tử) at a local fruit orchard. • Enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch at a riverside restaurant with specialties such as elephant ear fish, fresh spring rolls, and caramelized clay pot fish. Afternoon: Discovering Local Life & Return to Ho Chi Minh City • Take a bicycle ride or walk around a peaceful village, visiting local workshops producing honey, rice wine, and traditional handicrafts. • Return to My Tho by boat, then transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City. • 04:30 PM—05:00 PM: Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, drop off at your hotel, and end the tour.
