Monteverde Night Walk: Sloths, Snakes & Nocturnal Wildlife

As the forest comes alive, you'll search for nocturnal wildlife that most visitors never have the chance to see during the day. Using trained observation skills and a high-powered spotting scope, your guide will help you find sleeping birds, sloths, frogs, tarantulas, insects, snakes, armadillos, and other fascinating creatures that emerge after sunset. Every walk is different, making each experience unique and exciting. This small-group tour takes place at the Monteverde Wildlife Refuge, where easy trails provide excellent opportunities for wildlife observation and photography. Along the way, you'll learn about animal behavior, camouflage, ecosystems, and the remarkable adaptations that allow these species to thrive in the cloud forest at night. Itinerary

1. A walk through a private reserve of approximately 2 hours. This is a slow walk ideal to observe the night life of the forest. We will be able to see sloths, night birds, snakes, nocturnal insects, armadillos, tarantulas, scorpions, among others. Each person will be provided with a lamp. Groups of up to 8 people. (2h 0min)
