Itinerary
- After a beautiful 20 minute drive from our last stop, we arrive at the Fire Mountains, the unusual result of the eruptions in the south of Lanzarote in the 18th and 19th centuries. A spectacle of red craters, lava flows and lunar landscapes that reflect the burning of the earth and its uncontrollable force. Its 200 kilometres of extension form part of the Timanfaya National Park, where one of the largest volcanic activities in the world can be seen, both for the immense quantity of materials thrown up by the fire, and for its spectacular duration: six years between 1730 and 1736 when the bowels of the island did not stop roaring. (1h 0min)
- After half an hour's walk, you can take a 20-minute ride on the back of the camels at a cost of 11€ per person. If you don't wish to visit a small museum about the history of camels on the island of Lanzarote, you can do so free of charge. (25 min)
- We leave the National Park behind us and after a 20 minute drive we arrive at La Geria, which is a peculiar area of the island of Lanzarote where there is an abundance of vineyards. We will be able to stop at a winery and taste and buy wine with denomination of origin Lanzarote. (25 min)
- From the area of La Geria in 20 minutes we reach this green lake located in the crater of a volcano that has become one of the main tourist attractions of Lanzarote. (25 min)
