Private Warnemuende Shore Excursion: Third Reich Berlin

For more than 25 years we have been showing important, hidden, and forgotten Third Reich and World War Two sights to guests from all over the world. This tour offers you a unique opportunity to see the heart of the German capital during its most tragic and regrettable moments. With the use of your private air-conditioned vehicle we will be able to take you to all the relevant WWII sights. We will show you the Reichstag, where Hitler came to power in 1933, and the site of the bunker, where he took his own life in 1945, just as WWII was coming to an end. Throughout the day you will see memorials for several different victim groups of the Nazi regime, including homosexual, mentally and physically disabled, Jewish, and Sinti and Roma victims, amongst others. At the end of the tour your driver will bring you back to the port of Warnemünde.

Itinerary

1. Pick up (5 min)
2. The guide will explain the hisotry of the Soviet War Memorial in the Tiergarten, which was built such that it would end up in West Berlin! (10 min)
3. Learn about the rise of the Nazis and the final of WWII (15 min)
4. The guide will explain the memorial and the history of the Nazi crimes regarding Sinti and Roma. (10 min)
5. The guide will explain the history of the site (10 min)
6. Guests will see the former site of Hitler's bunker and listen to the guide talk about Adolf HItler's life, especially the final 10 days. (10 min)
7. The guide will explain the history of LGBTQ victims of National Socialism, and the knock-on effect it has had since 1945. (10 min)
8. The guide will explain the history of the memorial - this is where the Nazi euthanasia program was organised (10 min)
9. The guide will explain the history and concept of the memorial, as well as the history surrounding the crimes of the Nazi party. The visit will include a walk through the memorial. (10 min)
10. Visit the exhibition. Length of time depends on how long the group would like to say. (10 min)
11. The guide will explain the events that lead up to the 1933 book burning in Berlin, and the effect that has had throughout history. (10 min)
12. The guide will explain the history of Berlin's Oscar Schindler-like figure, Otto Weidt, whose courageous actions during WWII prolonged and saved the lives of Jewish people. (15 min)
13. Visitors will hear the story of Klaus von Stauffenberg's attempt on Hitler's life (10 min)
14. The guide will explain the history of the former royal entrance to Berlin, where in 1933 Adolf Hitler's supporters marched through to celebrate Hitler becoming chancellor. (15 min)
15. Walk through the former Nazi government district and see the former locations of Goebbels' Propaganda Ministry, Goering's Air Ministry, the New Reich Chancelley and the exact position of Hitler's bunker. (10 min)
