We will give you a tapa and a soft drink and during that break the guide will advise you how to continue according to your tastes and will answer your questions so that you can get the most out of your time in Cartagena. You will see the Port of Cartagena, the Plaza del Ayuntamiento with its Town Hall Palace, the Roman Theater, Calle Mayor, the Gran Hotel and Plaza San Francisco where you will enjoy a tapa and a drink to continue your discovery of this ancient city.

Itinerary

3. The Roman Theatre of Cartagena, built in Roman times (1st century B.C., in the time of Augustus), surprises from the outside by its imposing cave integrated in the city and its unique mixture of Roman remains with later buildings. (10 min)
4. Built at the beginning of the 20th century (1907–1916, in the midst of the modernist boom), Gran Hotel Cartagena stands out for its elegant facade and its role as a symbol of the city’s bourgeois splendour. (2 min)
5. The Plaza de San Francisco, configured between the 19th and 20th centuries, stands out for its stately atmosphere and for housing the Casa Maestre (1906, modernist), one of the most representative buildings of the bourgeois splendour of the city.
