Enjoy a stop at Mount Maunganui Main Beach, consistently ranked among New Zealand’s most beautiful beaches. (1h 0min)
  2. Leaving the coast behind, we journey inland to the peaceful beauty of McLaren Falls, where waterfalls, lakes, and native bush create a tranquil escape. From there, we cross the spectacular Kaimai Ranges, enjoying panoramic countryside views before driving through the magical Fitzgerald Glade, a lush native forest canopy that feels like stepping into another world. (1h 0min)
  3. Arriving in Rotorua, we stop above the historic Ohinemutu Village for breathtaking views across Lake Rotorua and insight into the rich Māori heritage of the region. We then continue to Rotorua’s lakefront to see the impressive Te Arawa waka (canoe) and vibrant waterfront setting. Discover Rotorua’s famous geothermal activity at Kuirau Park, where steaming pools, bubbling mud, and relaxing thermal foot baths offer a true geothermal experience. (2h 0min)
  4. The journey continues through the beautiful Government Gardens, combining history, culture, and stunning floral displays, before visiting the magnificent Redwoods Forest, renowned for its towering Californian redwood trees and peaceful atmosphere. Guests may also choose to enjoy the famous Redwoods Treewalk or visit the enchanting Glow Worm Grotto experience as optional extras during our forest stop. There will also be an opportunity for souvenir shopping at the Redwoods visitor centre. Returning to Tauranga, we travel through the fertile kiwifruit orchards of Paengaroa, home to one of New Zealand’s most famous exports, before arriving back at Mount Maunganui and Tauranga Harbour.
