Itinerary

1. After more than a century as a holiday resort, Cascais has a certain notoriety that more recent resorts lack. Its history is visible in the villas along the coast. The sheltered sandy bay was once a prehistoric fishing port.
2. Before moving towards Cabo da Roca, You may want take a stroll through the historical center of Sintra. This is a good time to rest, lunch and try out some traditional regional pastries. Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Continental Europe, is yet another great spot to take some pictures and feel the sea breeze. (10 min)
3. We take-off from Lisbon in the morning heading directly to the UNESCO-listed Pena Palace. The 19th-century Romantic palace is a wonder to discover and one you will not soon forget. It is one of the best places to take pictures. It’s placed high on top of the mountain with a splendid view that stretches for miles, all the way to the Ocean. ( Suggested Monument ) (1h 30min)
4. We'll take a stroll through the historical center of Sintra. This is a good time to rest, lunch and try out some traditional regional pastries. You'll enjoy one hour of free time! (1h 0min)
5. The stunning Quinta da Regaleira is yet another UNESCO-listed site which has anciently carved buildings, incredible gardens and a gothic breeze that will enchant anyone who dares to enter. Full of history behind it, you will learn all about the caves, secret wells and art that originated from the Masonry, the Templars and the Rose Cross. ( Suggested Monument ) (1h 0min)
6. This magnificent property is a jungle of exotic trees and flowering shrubs. Its’ history dates back to the time of the Moors, but it was named after a small 16th century chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Monteserrat, from Catalonia, Spain. ( Suggested Monument ) (1h 0min)
7. In the heart of the village of Sintra, a pair of unusual conical chimneys rise above the Royal Palace. This Palace became the favourite summer retreat of the court and continued, as the residence of the Portuguese royalty, until the 1980s.
