Itinerary

1. Start your day with an easy pickup from Sydney CBD and leave the city behind as we head south into Royal National Park, where the cliffs meet the Pacific and the air already feels different. We start with a coastal hike to either Wedding Cake Rock or Eagle Rock, depending on the weather and how challenging you’d like the walk to be on the day. Both routes take you across sandstone cliffs and coastal tracks with wide open ocean views and some of the most beautiful scenery in the park. (30 min)
2. Journey along the coastal track to witness the striking geology of Eagle Rock or Wedding Cake Rock, an iconic sandstone formation sculpted over millennia by wind and sea spray. As you trek past dramatic cliff edges, you'll uncover how millions of years of natural erosion carved out these golden sandstone shelves, perched dramatically over the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean. 3. After completing the hike, unwind at Wattamolla Beach, a serene, lagoon-style paradise ideal for a refreshing swim and a relaxing picnic. Sit back and enjoy a carefully curated spread prepared by a local caterer, featuring artisan cheeses, marinated olives, freshly made dips, crackers, falafel with hummus, stuffed dolmades, and vibrant seasonal fruit, all paired with crisp, locally brewed kombucha.
