This tour reveals the mystery on the origin that relies on Ecuadorian chocolate.The highest quality chocolate was born from a rainforest conservation project started in Ecuador in 2007. Through his nonprofit foundation Third Millennium Alliance. The chocolate this soil produces comes from the oldest trees which study traced genetics as far back as 5,300 years according Carbon-14 data and the theobromine found in pods by Francisco Valdez, in one of his archeology researches; these kind of trees were thought extinct until the results from this study were revealed, proving their purity is at 100% Nacional speaking of genotypes. In this tour, we will process our own chocolate from collecting the cocoa beans to making our own chocolate bar, we will visit one of the 14 plantations in Rocafuerte, that produces the highest quality of cocoa beans used for making the most exquisite chocolate bars. Itinerary

  1. We will be visiting one of the cocoa plantations, here we will be learning about the impact that cocoa and chocolate has to the citizens of Ecuador, we will enjoy of fresh coffee, seasonal fruit juice, fruits of the surroundings, starch bread and of course cocoa fruit, we will be roasting and peeling our own cocoa beans.   2. We will be visiting a small chocolate factory, here we will be finishing processing our craft chocolate, we will be making our version of the God's drink that was offered to Hernan Cortéz, and enjoy local bananas covered by chocolate, after this, we will be showing you the industrial process of making chocolate bars in the factory, and we will be offering you treats of these so you can try out our products.   3. We will be visiting Modesto hats to view how the Montecristi Hats are made, this demonstration will be covering in detailed steps how these master pieces are made (40 min) Admission included
