Tierra del Fuego National Park by Hike – Small groups
Explore Tierra del Fuego National Park in a more active and close way: by hike. In small groups and accompanied by professional local guides, I discovered the park’s less-traveled trails, among sub-Antarctic forests, peatlands, rivers and the Beagle Channel coast. This experience invites you to connect with nature, observe its flora and fauna, and understand how life is formed in the far south of the continent. During the tour, you will discover iconic places such as Ensenada Zaratiegui, Lake Acigami and Lapataia Bay, where the Pan American Route ends. Along the way, your guides will share stories, knowledge and curiosities about the geography, ecology and human history of this unique corner of the planet. More than an excursion, it is an interpretive walk designed to enjoy, learn and feel part of the environment. Itinerary

  1. It is a charming bay of the Beagle Channel, combining forest, mountain and sea. Lapataia Bay is the last kilometer of the Pan American route (and Route N°3) that runs from Alaska to the southern tip of this national park representing the arrival at the End of the World. (30 min)
  2. Also known as Acigami Glacier Lake (Roca), one of the most unforgettable postcards in Tierra del Fuego. We will walk its coast and here you can directly see the political division of the island, as it crosses the meridian that separates us from the neighboring country Chile. (20 min)
  3. In Bahia Ensenada Zaratiegui you can appreciate that combination of environments that makes this national park, the Andes, the forest and the sea unique in one place. There also works the famous End of the World Mail where, if it were open, they can stamp their passport or send a postcard from the End of the World. (25 min)
  4. ***IMPORTANT*** In winter season the tour is modified by being closed the Bay Ensenada and some paths within the Park product of the snow
