Tromsø: Chasing the Aurora – We Go Where The Lights Appear

This tour is designed for one thing. Giving you the best possible chance to see the Aurora. Instead of relying on fixed stops or the same familiar route, we let the conditions decide where the chase goes. Your guide follows the weather, cloud coverage, aurora activity and local conditions throughout the evening to choose the strongest direction for that night. Sit back in a comfortable bus with an onboard toilet and let your guide lead the chase. The route changes with the night. Some nights, the best skies are close to Tromsø. Other nights, we chase farther into the Arctic landscape. When the Northern Lights appear, we stop, give you time to enjoy the moment, and help capture a photo from your experience. Stay warm along the way. Warm drinks and winter suits help keep you comfortable. When conditions allow, we may light a bonfire under the Arctic sky. Toilet is on the bus.

Itinerary

1. Travel to the spots with the clearest sky, have a photographer take professional pictures of you and the Northern Lights, and share a good time by the bonfire with a warm meal and hot beverages. We also have thermal suits and boots to keep you warm! (7h 0min)
2. Drive through and experience the majestic Arctic fjords of Tromso while hunting the Auroa.
3. We may even go all the way to Finland if the forecast shows the clearest skies and strongest chance of seeing the Northern Lights across the border. (1h 0min)
