Itinerary
- Let's get ready for a light trekking with this tour to the Fray Jorge National Park and the Valle del Encanto National Monument, where we can travel the trails through a Valdivian forest in the middle of the semi-desert area and the archeological heritage of the Molle culture. Itinerary: We will pick you up at your hotel and take Route 5 South and then take the detour to Fray Jorge National Park. We will climb the hill by vehicle, being able to appreciate the change from semi-desert landscape to hydrophilic forest. Once at the top, we will witness a Valdivian forest in the IV Region. We will recognize the flora of the place with the walk along the paths, at the same time we observe birds. After the journey on foot, we will get on the vehicle again to pass through the town of Barraza, where we will have our lunch. Then, we will go to the Valle del Encanto National Monument, which contains an important pre-Columbian archaeological heritage, left by the Molle culture. We can tour the area, observing pictographs, small cups and geological formations of the indigenous peoples that inhabited the area. I return to La Serena.
