Valencia, Albufera naturalpark and birthplace of Paella El Palmar

This tour is designed for people who want to see more than just the historic center of Valencia. Our tour will take you on a journey through the historic center of the city, showing you the most significant monuments and important corners. After passing by the City of Arts and Sciences we approach the Albufera Natural Park until we reach El Palmar. We will explore every corner of the nature that surrounds Valencia.

11. We will have an overview of all the different buildings that make up the City of Arts and Sciences with explanations and time to take pictures. (15 min)
12. We will pass through the rice fields where, depending on the season, we can observe a large number of migratory birds such as grey herons and flamingos (20 min)
13. We will stop in front of the Albufera lake, the largest freshwater lake in Spain. (15 min)
14. Stop at the Saler beach. This beach with its dunes, which is integrated in the natural park, is a nesting area of the loggerhead turtle and nesting area of many seabirds. (20 min)
15. Continuing along the road between the pine forest of Saler and the lake of Albufera we will arrive at the village of El Palmar. This small village is the birthplace of the traditional Paella. Surrounded by rice fields and crossed by water canals we will find numerous restaurants dedicated to cooking Paella on firewood. (30 min)
