Valletta City Walking Tour

Discover Valletta, Malta's capital city, a designated UNESCO Heritage Site and European Cultural Capital 2018. Our expert guide will lead this walking tour, past the city's main landmarks including the Barracca Gardens, main squares and characteristic streets. In just two and a half hours you will see and learn about Valletta 's more known buildings and its hidden charms at a comfortable and enjoyable pace.  During this walk you will learn how it all began, how the city evolved through the centuries and about the events which shaped Valletta into the city that it is today. This is an ideal tour for first time visitors which will give you a good insight into Malta's history and orient you to other sites you would like to discover during your stay. Groups are limited to a maximum of 25 persons to ensure a pleasant experience and headsets are provided to provide more flexibility.

Itinerary

1. Walk along Valletta main street along which one finds the New Parliament Building, Opera House and stunning palaces dating back to the epic time of Knights (1h 20min)
2. Admire the stunning views from the terrace of the gardens over looking Malta's Grand Harbour (15 min)
3. In the center of Valletta lie some of the most historical buildings, the Auberges, palaces lived by the Knights of Malta (10 min)
4. Walk around Valletta Mechant's street whilst listening to your guide who will highlight the history behing these imposing Building (15 min)
5. Tour will end close to the Grandmaster's palce along st George's square in the center of Valletta along Republic Street (10 min)
