Your night will begin at Whare Waka Café within the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, where you will be greeted by your host and will finish back at the café where you will be seated for your delicious hāngi feast. Enjoy a complimentary drink on arrival as you mix and mingle in the charming outdoor setting at Whare Waka Café. Your charismatic and informative host will guide you through the evening’s events. Watch as the expert hāngi chef unveils your dinner and explains the traditional cooking process. Be transported back in time as you follow your host on a short bush walk, where you will be approached by Māori warriors before you experience a traditional challenge (wero). Prepare to be amazed as the resident performing arts group Te Pitowhenua entertains you with a high energy cultural performance.
