Zadar Food Tour: Local Dishes & City Stories

A tour designed for all the foodies who love to explore local cuisines. During a 3-hour tour, you will enjoy a variety of dishes from the Croatian coastal region - Dalmatia, ranging from traditional to modern classics, and find out more about local customs. It's a fun and informative tasting tour to the largest green market, but also local restaurants, and food shops in the very city center of Zadar. Piece of advice - come hungry!

Itinerary

1. The meeting point for open booking tours (20 min)
2. One of the food stops on the main and most important Zadar Street, right next to the Roman Forum Square. Enjoy a savory pie, a specialty from the Zadar hinterland called Soparnik. (20 min)
3. Walk through the city’s market, try to recognize different fish, taste some local fruit, but also the most famous cheese from our moonscape island. (20 min)
4. Olive is the most numerous and most important fruit of Dalmatia, and throughout its history, it was a foundation of survival on the islands and in the coastal areas. At this location, you will taste different types of olive oil. (20 min)
5. Enjoy our local prosciutto, a favorite meat delicacy we eat on every occasion. (20 min)
6. Try some wine that can be found on wine lists of some of the world's finest restaurants. (20 min)
7. Walk Through the student’s part of the city and taste local fish delicacies. (20 min)
8. As a cherry on top, visit a pastry shop with finger-licking sweet cake choice. (10 min)
